Below please find information on a May Day event organized by
several key member organization and leaders in KC JwJ.

Dear brothers and sisters,
May Day is labor day throughout the world.
On that day working people remember and honor the long and
continuing struggle for jobs with dignity, and they mourn the
sacrifices of the Haymarket martyrs in Chicago who were working
men - both native born and immigrant - united around the demand
for the eight hour day.
Come celebrate May Day 2009 in Kansas City and join with our
immigrant brothers and sisters to demand respect for all workers
rights including passage of the Employee Free Choice Act.
