Greetings,
President Obama has asked Congress to pass
health reform bills by August 10. Health care reform
legislation is now rapidly moving in both the US House and
US Senate.
Working people must make our voices
heard, calling for a health care system
that:
- Covers every person
in our nation.
- Makes health care affordable for
all workers, retirees and
families.
- Give us choices
of quality public programs and private
plans.
Your Congressman, Rep. Russ Carnahan, is
coming home to hear from his consituents. He's
invited you to join him for a town hall
discussion about health care:
This Monday, July 20, 2009 from 8:00
a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park Community
College in the Cafeteria, South Bay, Student Center
Building. For a campus map, click here.
Jobs with Justice and many community
organizations will be there, and we
need you to show up and speak up. Please
RSVP to Amy Smoucha amys@stl-jwj.org to let us know
you will be there. We will have JwJ Health Care for All
buttons to show our strength.
