Greetings,

The Struggle to WIN HEALTH CARE Reform Continues.

And WE NEED YOU to SHOW UP and SPEAK OUT!

Winning real health care reform this year is a huge struggle and August is battle season.  Opponents of health care reform are spending $1.4 million per day.  Everywhere our Congressional delegates go, they are faced with vocal, disruptive anti-reform activists.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR US TO SHOW UP IN THE PUBLIC SQUARE and SPEAK OUT.  We must have a strong pro-health care reform presence at legislator meetings across the state during the August recess.

WHEN:  Tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 6, US Representative Russ Carnahan will have a public forum on Aging, including health care and housing issues.

Doors open at 6:00 pm;  Program begins at 7:00 pm (We need you to get there early and sit in front).

WHERE:  Bernard Middle School

1054 Forder Road (near 270 & Lemay Ferry Exit)

RSVP your attendance at the Carnahan public forum to Health Care Organizer Amy Smoucha at amys@stl-jwj.org or 314-608-3917

ALSO Save the date:

TO WIN HEALTH CARE WE MUST ALL SHOW UP AND SPEAK OUT THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF AUGUST!  Staying informed and on-message is critically important.

To prepare for these town hall opportunities, the health care reform movement is providing 30 minute conference calls. On the conference call you will learn where Congress left things off in DC before the recess, the most effective ways to talk to our legislators about health care reform, and what we've seen from the people opposing health care reform at other meetings across the country.

Conference Call Sessions (you only have to 'attend' one):

Thursday, August 6 5:30pm

Friday, August 7 10am

Sunday, August 9 4pm

Please RSVP for conference calls to to Stacey Sickler at ssickler@faithbeyondwalls.org or 314-531-4787 – Include in your RSVP which Conference Call you plan to be on. You will receive call in information upon confirmation.
