TAKE ACTION NOW

Demand Quality, Affordable Health Care For All

Health care reform efforts are currently moving in Congress.  There are many components of federal health care reform that will have significant impact on whether working people in Missouri will have quality, affordable health care.

Click HERE to find out how to TAKE ACTION and learn more about federal health care reform.

Missouri Servers got a raise Thanks to you! Help them keep their wages.

This last legislative session Jobs with Justice and the waiters and waitresses of the "Save Our Tips" campaign  narrowly defeated state legislation that would have excluded waiters and waitresses from increases in the minimum wage.  Because of that successful campaign nearly 60,000 waiters and waitresses got a raise last month. The fight is not over, Rep. Tim Jones (R-Eureka) has promised to try again next year.

Click HERE to find out how you can continue to help "Save our Tips".

Protect your Pay and Benefits - Stop Senate Bill S. 1507

The U.S. Senate is poised to act this week on a bill that would be devastating for postal workers. S. 1507, the Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Funding Reform Act of 2009, was intended to provide short-term financial relief to the Postal Service, but an amendment has made the bill completely unacceptable ti the APWU. The amendment would require arbitrators ruling on postal contracts to take into account the "financial health of the Postal Service"

With the addition of this admendment, this bill would destroy collective bargaining for postal workers.

Click HERE to act now and email your senators and tell them "Vote No on S. 1507". Or call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 866-338-1015 and ask for your lawmakers' offices.
