Greetings,

KC JwJ leaders organize powerful support for health care reform at McCaskill forum this week

Star’s Aug 24 headline reads “Supporters of health care reform dominate town hall session”

Congratulations to KC JwJ’s leaders and allies for their powerful organizing in support of health care reform.  The hard work showed real results at Monday’s forum with Senator Claire McCaskill where the crowd overwhelming supported reform that brings quality, affordable health care with a public option to all Missourians.

We want to especially recognize JwJ member organizations who put particularly hard work in to building support around this congressional listening forum, including the Urban League of Greater Kansas City, CWA 6360, IBEW 124, MEChA of UMKC, ACORN, CWA 6355, Missouri Association for Social Welfare, SEIU 1, the Baptist Ministerial Alliance and many more...
