raise Thanks to you! Help them keep their wages.
This last legislative session Jobs
with Justice and the waiters and waitresses of the "Save Our
Tips" campaign narrowly defeated state legislation that
would have excluded waiters and waitresses from increases in the
minimum wage. Because of that successful campaign
nearly 60,000 waiters and waitresses got a
raise last month. The fight is not over, Rep. Tim Jones
(R-Eureka) has promised to try again next year.

Join The Doerr Center for Social Justice of St. Louis
University for their Annual Social Justice night. The lecture
for the night is " Following the Martyrs on the Road to Peace
and Justice" presented by John Dear, SJ. Fr.Dear will be joined
by local peace and justice activists to discuss the legacy of
the Salvadoran martyrs, individual expereinces, and
opportunities for activisim in the St. Louis area.
The discussion will take place in the Busch Student
Center, Rm 170 on the campus of St. Louis University. For more
