Care Can’t Wait!
The AFL-CIO national
mobilization of workers in support of meaningful health care
reform begins on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Please call
Congress at 1-877-3AFLCIO (same as 1-877-323-5246) and ask for
real health care reform that brings coverage to all Americans,
cuts costs and includes a robust public
option.
The AFL-CIO is calling
for a plan that:
--Makes sure everyone
gets high-quality health care as good or better than they have
now.
--Controls costs.
--Covers preventive
care.
--Lets people choose
their own doctors.
--Establishes a
watchdog on costs, and offers the choice of a public alternative
to private insurance; and
--Divides responsibility among
employers, government and individuals.
This is the big one!
Congress has the chance of a lifetime to make
history.
