Dear UNAC/UHCP Members, On November 7, 2009, UNAC/UHCP has an opportunity to participate in the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program, a unique program that combines creative community outreach with basic health screenings. The Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program will be in 75 barbershops in the Los Angeles area providing free haircuts and screening men for hypertension and diabetes. UNAC/UHCP has been asked to provide nurses or other health care professionals to conduct blood pressure screening in approximately 6 barbershops from 10am-4:00pm. Help make a difference and volunteer for this important event.
