As the harvest season for cotton in Uzbekistan begins, children
are once again removed from schools across the country and
forced to pick cotton.
CLUW supports the efforts of the International Labor Rights Forum (ILRF), American Federation of Teachers and other organizations calling for an end to forced child labor in Uzbekistan. Tell the Uzbek government that you will not stand for such egregious human rights abuses by signing this petition. Deadline for the petition is Oct. 9. All supporters who sign it by TODAY will have their names displayed on a quilt in Washington, DC on October 14. Tell the Uzbek government, "Stop Child Labor NOW." |
