Celebrating 20 years serving union members

In August 1986, the first Union Plus Credit Cards were issued. From that single benefit, Union Privilege has grown to offer over 30 Union Plus programs for working families.

Now over 3 million Americans enjoy the Union Plus benefits of union membership. Thanks for your support!

1) EDUCATION SERVICES

Math Class

Do you or your children need help paying for college? Affordable education loans and consolidation loans are a click away.

You can also access a comprehensive and practical site on college planning - including information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and State Savings Plans (529 Plans) - at http://unionplus.educationplanner.com.

To speak directly with a Union Plus Financial Aid Counselor, call 1-877-881-1022. All calls are answered by union members in the U.S. because the Union Plus Education Services provider, American Education Services (AES), is unionized through AFSCME Local 1224.

TIP: Fall is a popular time for students to take standardized tests (SAT/ACT). This planner Web page has tips and strategies for taking the tests, along with sample questions and practice tests.

  2) MONEY FOR COLLEGE

For 14 years, the Union Plus Scholarship program has supported working families pursuing post-secondary education and provided over $2 million in scholarship money to union family scholarship winners through the Union Plus Education Foundation.

Union members, including their children, can apply for the Union Plus Scholarship and download the application here.

To qualify, all completed applications must be postmarked by January 31, 2007. Only winners will receive notification in May 2007.
