next!
RUTLAND COUNTY 6:30pm, Tues, Oct 6, Rutland
Public Library
The Healthcare Is A Human Right Campaign, coordinated by the
Vermont Workers' Center is organizing a series of healthcare
forums with local state legislators around Vermont. The
forums include personal testimonies, presentations on the human
right to healthcare and how Vermont can lead the way when the
federal health reform falls short of solving the current crisis.
Forums so far in Washington, Bennington, Windham and
Chittenden Counties have turned out a huge amount of community
support for Healthcare is a Human Right. Join us tomorrow in
Rutland and let us know if you want to help organize a People's
Forum on Healthcare in your community.
These public forums with State Legislators will focus on
human right to healthcare and what we can do to change
current state healthcare policy. They are being organized local
committees of the Healthcare Is A Human Right, a group of local
residents have been doing outreach throughout the community
about the impact the broken healthcare system is having on our
community. More People's Forums are being planned in other
Vermont counties, if you want to learn more contact info@workerscenter.org

Peter Welch Congressional Forums On
Healthcare Join the VWC at Peter Welch's
Congressional Forums on Healthcare.
Right wing opponents
will be there trying to dominate the event. Let's have a huge
turnout to show them and Congressman Welch that Vermonters who
believe healthcare is a human right and are demanding
fundamental change NOW greatly outnumber those opposed to
healthcare reform. (Just as we proved at Senator Bernie
Sanders forums in Rutland, Arlington and Peacham).
Contact kate@workerscenter.org
or 802-861-4892 if you can come to Welch's Congressional
Forums

The Vermont Workers' Center and Michael Moore's new
film "Capitalism: A Love Story"
At the Savoy Theater in Montpelier and Merrill's Roxy in
Burlington, Vermont Workers' Center leaders have been tabling at
showings of Michael Moore's new film "Capitalism: A Love
Story". People leave the film wanting to take action to
change this unjust system. We've collected lots of
healthcare is a human right postcards from movie
viewers and talked to lots of people about getting
involved.
We encourage you to see the film and join us tabling at the
theater! Contact kate@workerscenter.org
if you have any questions or if you are interested in helping
