The national unemployment rate is over 8 percent, and economists predict it's going to keep rising. People who have worked hard all their lives, supporting themselves and their families, are struggling to make ends meet.

President Obama and Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to turn the U.S. economy around and help working people get through hard times. But the working people of your state won't be able to benefit from that if you reject recovery funds.

Extending unemployment benefits to more workers is the right thing to do--for our families, for our state and for our nation.

Stop playing politics: Accept the recovery money your state is entitled to, and use it to help working families.
