Arizona - Urgent Action Needed
Tell Arizona State Legislators Not to Silence Working Families
Measures before the Arizona legislature would silence the voice of working families in politics by imposing unfair and burdensome new accounting and reporting requirements on unions. Please send a message to your members of the Arizona state House and state Senate by clicking on the link below. Urge them to oppose H.B. 2535.

Subject: Please vote "No" on H.B. 2535
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am a worker, and I'm concerned about H.B. 2535. This measure will make it much harder for working people to make their voices heard in politics through their unions. It singles out unions for unfair and burdensome new requirements but does nothing to limit political spending by special-interest business groups.
I want my union to be out there fighting for good jobs, good laws and good leaders. If someone else doesn't want the union's help, they don't have to be a union member, and they don't have to contribute money to political action. That's already the law.
Laws such as H.B. 2535 have been thrown out in other states because they limit the rights of working people in politics. If this measure becomes law, it will be held up in court for years, costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars when Arizona can't even afford quality education and health care.
Please vote "No" on H.B. 2535.
Sincerely,
