Don't Let Them Silence Missouri Workers
Our voice and our unions are under attack in Missouri. An important committee in the state House is voting on two bills that single out workers and their unions for unfair treatment.
H.B. 876 would force local unions, elected union leaders and even shop stewards—but not corporations or other groups—to compile extensive, expensive reports. H.B. 878 would take away the rights of public employees—but not corporations or any other groups—to work through their unions to lobby the legislature, participate in voter registration campaigns, make campaign contributions and work on ballot initiatives.
It’s just not right. Please send the following message to urge your state representative to oppose these two bills.

Subject: Oppose H.B. 876 and 878
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I urge you to support working families by opposing H.B. 876 and H.B. 878. These bills unfairly single out working people and their unions and expand government interference.
H.B. 876 unfairly targets public employee unions for costly, burdensome regulations but does nothing to regulate other nonprofit organizations or big corporations. Laws like H.B. 878 clearly violate constitutional rights and have been overturned in other states. If H.B. 878 passes, it likely will be held up in the courts for years, costing Missouri's taxpayers millions of dollars.
I hope I can count on you to oppose these unfair and unwise bills.
Sincerely,
