Labor Endorses Candidates who Support the Concerns of Working Families and Communities

The WNY Economy has floundered for years and our most recent economic downturn was caused by irresponsible tax breaks to the most wealthy, the reckless profiteering of big financial institutions and businesses, and the collaborating policies of the Chambers of Commerce here and across the country.

The result of this escalating greed has hit working families hard with increased taxes and fees, lost homes, layoffs, unaffordable, inadequate or lost health benefits; and the intentional dismantling of public good and services.

WNY labor believes that government "of the people, by the people, for the people" is necessary to protect against the ruthlessness caused by the profit-over-people business model of government.   Labor has closely followed how elected officials represent and respond to the legitimate concerns of working people and their families at the county level.

Labor will encourage our elected representatives to stand up for needed transparency and accountability of our tax dollars and policies, which provide "good" jobs in our communities.  Labor will continue to counter the profit driven anti-government agenda with practical solutions based on research and experience.
