Say NO to internet control by Bell, Rogers
Stop the Throttlers!
It’s time that Canada had a policy to make sure the internet remains neutral. It’s time to enact legislation to stop companies like Bell and Rogers from controlling Canadians’ access to content on the web.
Do we really want Bell and Rogers to be able to tell us what we can and cannot view and do on the Internet?

Subject: Canadians demand neutral Net
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am deeply concerned about recent announcements by Bell and Rogers related to internet traffic shaping.
Canada does not have strict enforceable net neutrality legislation so there is very little to stop the big Internet providers from discriminating by speeding up or slowing down Web content based on its source, ownership or destination.
I am very concerned that the federal government does not have a policy to protect my ability to communicate and access information freely on the Internet and urge you to take action on this matter immediately, up to and including tabling legislation to enforce net neutrality in Canada.
Sincerely,
|
